        1. Activated vulcanization system:

        ZnO and SA act to form zinc soap, improve the solubility of ZnO in rubber, and form a complex with good solubility in rubber with the accelerator, activate the accelerator and sulfur, and improve the vulcanization efficiency.

        2. Increase the crosslink density of vulcanizates:

        ZnO and SA form soluble zinc salts. The zinc salts are chelated with cross-linking bonds, which protect the weak bonds, cause short cross-linking bonds by vulcanization, and add new cross-linking bonds to increase the cross-linking density.

        3. Improve the aging resistance of vulcanized rubber:

        During the use of vulcanizate, the polysulfide bond is broken, and the generated hydrogen sulfide accelerates the aging of the rubber, but ZnO reacts with hydrogen sulfide to form zinc sulfide, which consumes hydrogen sulfide and reduces the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen sulfide to the crosslinked network; ZnO can suture broken sulfur bonds and stabilize the cross-linking bonds.
